Linear stone in a panel format
Strip Ledge is our contemporary ledgestone. Each piece is a panel of long, narrow strips, so the wall goes up as a series of straight, tight lines with no rubble look at all. It is the profile for modern exteriors, feature walls behind a television, hotel and office lobbies, and outdoor kitchens where the counter and the stone should read as one clean composition.
Four colors: Mist in soft gray, Rushmore in darker gray with lighter strips, Fargo Brown in warm browns, and Lakewood in a mixed blend.
Panel size and weight
Strip Ledge comes in one panel size, 17.5 inches long and 5.75 inches high. Panels stagger like brick so the end joints never line up. Weight is 5 to 8 pounds per square foot.
Installing Strip Ledge
Strip Ledge is an adhered manufactured stone veneer and goes on like any other: a weather-resistive barrier and metal lath over framed walls, a scratch coat, then each piece is buttered with mortar and pressed to the wall. Over concrete or block, the scratch coat goes straight onto the masonry. Keep the stone at least 4 inches above grade and 2 inches above paving, use corners at every outside corner, and follow the manufactured stone veneer installation guide and your local code. Strip Ledge panels are laid tight with staggered ends and no visible joint.
How to order Strip Ledge
Every color is its own product. Open the color, enter the wall area in square feet, and add corners in linear feet if the wall turns a corner. The order minimum is 100 square feet of flats per color; corners have no minimum and can be ordered alone. Prices are on every product page, factory-direct, with no dealer in between.
Stone is made to order in Lenexa, Kansas, and is usually ready in 2 to 4 weeks. Most customers pick up at the plant; if you cannot, we arrange freight to your address and you pay the carrier. Because every run is made for one job, orders are final sale. Order the whole wall from one run so the color stays consistent, and add 10 percent for cuts and waste.
