Shipping and Pickup

Pick up at the plant in Lenexa for free; that is how we prefer to hand over stone. Freight only on request and at your cost, quoted for your address before we ship. Made-to-order colors in two to four weeks, shelf colors sooner, and the date in writing within one business day.

Pickup first, freight on request

Pick up in Lenexa, free

How most stone leaves the plant. Choose pickup at checkout; we email when the pallet is ready at 10583 Lackman Rd. Bring a truck or trailer rated for the weight; we load with a forklift.

Freight on request, at your cost

If you cannot pick up, ask us. We arrange LTL freight for your address, quote it, and you pay it before we ship. Curbside delivery; someone has to sign.

Count before you sign

Check the pieces and note any breakage on the delivery receipt. Report it within 48 hours and we replace the broken pieces, not the whole pallet.

Date confirmed in writing

We confirm your ship or pickup date by email within one business day. Made-to-order colors ship or are ready for pickup in two to four weeks; colors on the shelf sooner. The plant runs three shifts, so the date we confirm is the date we mean.

How heavy is it?

Stone weighs 5 to 8 pounds per square foot. 200 square feet is 1,000 to 1,600 pounds on one pallet. Check your truck's payload rating before you come; 150 square feet can be 1,200 pounds. A trailer or a flatbed takes a full job. If you need freight, the weight sets the price, so corners and flats on one order cost less per foot than two shipments.

We check your count

Before we pull or cast an order we look at the quantity against the profile. If 105 square feet for a 72-square-foot fireplace comes in, we email you before we pull it and refund the difference if you want less. A few chipped pieces per pallet are normal with any stone; the 10 percent waste factor covers those and the cuts. Breakage you note on the delivery receipt is replaced.

Shipping questions

How long does it take?

Made-to-order colors ship or are ready for pickup in two to four weeks; colors on the shelf sooner. The plant runs three shifts, so the date we confirm is the date we mean. Corners are cast with the flats, so order them together.

Do you deliver in the Kansas City metro?

We prefer that you pick up; the plant is ten to thirty minutes from most Johnson County job sites and we load with a forklift. If pickup is not possible, ask us for freight: we arrange the carrier and you pay the freight.

Can the driver carry it into the house or up the driveway?

No. If we arrange freight for you, it is curbside; a liftgate gets the pallet off the truck, not into the house. Have a hand truck and a helper, or pick up and bring a trailer.

What if I am not there?

The carrier schedules a window and someone has to sign. If nobody is there, the carrier charges a redelivery fee that we pass on.

Do you ship outside Kansas and Missouri?

On request, anywhere LTL freight goes in the lower 48. Freight is by weight and distance and is paid by you; we quote it for your address before we ship.
